About Us

GardenCAD was created by two Australian software developers - John McIver and Keith West. We are based in two Australian states, South Australia and Victoria. We have both had long experience using, programming and configuring AutoCAD and IntelliCAD. One of us (KW) has been presenting a course on the use of CAD for landscape and garden design students at a local technical college. A need for a simple, easy-to-us CAD tool rapidly became apparent; hence GardenCAD.

The first version of the program was released in 2005.
