Demonstration Movies

Some potential CAD users prefer to watch the software in use rather than read about it. If you would like to see GardenCAD in action, click on any of the links below. A small movie (with audio commentary) will be downloaded and play on your screen in Windows Media Player. The movies show stages in the development of a real job - a design for a north facing courtyard.

The last movie in the list - 'Use the Pages Drop Down menu ..' is the most comprehensive and shows many of GardenCAD's more advanced features. It takes about 15 minutes to play.

• Draw site boundaries
• Drawing settings - set up a 600mm grid
• Place entertainment area and underground tank
• Define decking at rear of house - layers, osnap settings etc.
• Copy a group of pavers in one fell swoop
• Place some outdoor seating into a design
• Drag a design for a water feature into a design
• Place free standing feature in a design
• Label plants and import 'how to plant advanced trees'  
• Use GardenCAD to produce artwork
• Place artwork
• Use the Pages Drop Down menu to present the concept and final design 

[If you are using an Apple computer, you may need to download a copy of Windows Media Player for the Mac. GardenCAD is Windows software but does run on Intel based Macintosh computers if you install tools such as CrossOver or Boot camp which allow Windows programs to run on a Mac].
