Here are answers to some common questions:
Q. What is the difference between GardenCAD Pro and GardenCAD Lite?
Students in our associated landscape diploma course are initialy given a copy of GardenCAD lite. GardenCAD Pro is the professional version of the product and users of it will notice that:
- They receive enhanced support
- The File>Save and File>SaveAs menu options have been implemented.
- There are more planting symbols
- A drop down Settings menu has been added
- Several text styles have been added
- An improved plant selector system is now available
- A symbol is now placed exactly at the position of cross hairs
- Each symbol is presented on a white background to give a clearer impression of how the symbol will look when plotted.
The figure below shows the new GardenCAD Pro interface showing the Settings menu.
Q. Why can't I post comments to this web site?

Q. How much does the full version of GardenCAD Pro cost?
A. $49.95 however, GardenCAD Pro is free if you enrol in the course 'Using GardenCAD Pro..' at http://www.landscapetutor.net. It is also supplied free if you enrol in our 'Diploma of Landscape Design'.
Q. I want to take one of your online courses on the use of GardenCAD. How is payment for a course made?
A. You pay by PayPal. As long as you have an email address, PayPal takes all types of credit cards. After payment, enrolment is automatic. You can start learning to use GardenCAD immediately. Alternatively, send us an email requesting an enrolment and we will enrol you and post our invoice out. We encourage payment by direct deposit. Our bank account details are on the invoice.
Q. Does this course count towards any diploma courses?
A. Yes it counts towards Design Cad Pty Ltd Diploma of Landscape Design offered at http://www.diploma.gardencad.net. Our Diploma is a private qualification, we have no plans to seek formal accreditation.
Q. How long does the course 'Learning GardenCAD' at http://www.landscapetutor.net take to complete?
A. It depends on you and your previous CAD experience. Students commonly report that some 40-50 hours is needed to reach full facility with GardenCAD.
